Nishamalaki

Nishamalaki is an Ayurvedic Herbal formulation containing – Amla and Haridra. These ingredients are well known for Anti-hyperglycaemic action and are hence used in the management of diabetes mellitus and its associated complications.

Also it is helpful in management of Skin disorders especially Allergic, Chronic wounds.

Dosage: 1 tablet twice or thrice a day or as directed by the physician.

Action:

• • • Haridra in Nishamalaki reduces blood glucose levels by decreasing Insulin Resistance and restores Insulin sensitivity, increases insulin secretion in Pancreatic islets, and restores functions of Beta cells of Islets.
    • Haridra in Nishamalki increases glucose uptake and utilization by skeletal muscle cells and adipocytes and inhibition of gluconeogenesis.
    • Emblica officianalis in Nishamalaki improves insulin sensitivity and exhibits insulin-mimetic effects by upregulation of expression of hepatic insulin signaling proteins.
    • Amla down-regulates the expression of Hepatic gluconeogenesis-related proteins and up-regulates the expression of hepatic glycogen synthase and glycolysis-related proteins.
    • Nishamalaki delayed Diabetic cataracts by reducing the Aldose reductase enzyme.
    • Haridra is clinically proven to   reduce wound-healing time, improve collagen deposition and vascular density in wounds thereby enhancing both normal and impaired wound-healing.
    • Haridra improves the lipid profile and increases the total antioxidant capacity of patients with T2DM and reduces the Cardiometabolic risk.
    • Amla extract significantly improved Antioxidant levels as well as Diabetic and Atherogenic indices in uremic patients with Diabetes.
