Chandraprabha Vati

Chandraprabhavati is a potent broad-spectrum activity medicine in Ayurveda beneficial in metabolic disorders like Diabetes, obesity, Urinary disorders like dysuria, renal calculi, frequent urination, prostate enlargement, and Reproductive disorders in both males and females like PCOD, Dysmenorrhoea and in skin disorders.

    • Dosage: 1 tablet twice or thrice a day or as directed by the physician.

    • Indication: Mutrakrichra, Prameha, Ashmari, Arshas, Mutraghata, Kushta, Pandu, Striroga, Sukradosha.
    • Anupana: Warm water, Milk, Tila churna

Action:

• • • Triphala, Guduchi, and Trikatu in Chandraprabha Vati restore functions of islets of Langerhans and stimulate the secretion and influences insulin sensitization thus possesses an anti-hyperglycaemic effect.
    • Triphala, Trikatu, and Haridra in Chandraprabha Vati have Hypoglycemic and Hypo lipidaemic action beneficial in treating obesity and diabetes.
    • Yavakshara in Chandraprabha Vati is beneficial in urinary disorders, and renal calculi.
    • Guduchi in Chandraprabha Vati inhibits the progression of nephropathy symptoms and protects the kidney from Diabetic Nephropathy complications.
    • Diuretic action of Dhanyaka and Musta and alkaline action of Yavakshara in Chadraprabha Vati is useful in urinary disorders and will reduce the acidic nature of urine associated with burning sensation during micturition.

• • • Anti-spasmodic action of shunti in Chandraprabha Vati relieves spasmodic pain thus helpful in the management of menstrual cramps & lower abdominal pain.
    • Clinical studies have proven that the Emmenagogue effect of Chandraprabha Vati regularizes menstrual cycles and normalizes the quantity of bleeding thus helping in the management of PCOD.
    • Bakuchi in Chandraprabha Vati is useful in kushta,( Skin diseases ).
    • Chitraka, Loha Bhasma, and Yavakshara in Chandraprabha Vati have lekhana action beneficial in prostate enlargement in males and in PCOD in females

    • Abdominal distension, colic pain, and bloating – with Shankavati, Kumari asava
    • Cyst or small tumor – with Kanchanara Guggulu, Punarnava Mandura
    • Anaemia and jaundice – with punarnava Mandura
    • Renal calculi- with gokshuradi guggulu, punarnava vati
    • Urinary obstruction – with Shwetaparpati, Gokshuradi Guggulu
    • Itching and skin disorder- with Manjishtadi kashayam
    • Diseases of liver and spleen- with arogyavardini Vati, shanka Vati, kumaryasava
    • Dysmenorrhoea and gynecological problems- with Ashokarishta, kumaryasava
    • Weakness – with lohasava, Ashwagandharishta
