As per Ayurvedic texts Indukanta ghrita is mainly indicated in Amlapitta, Parinamashula, Vishamajwara, Kshaya etc.

Actions of Indukanta Ghrta Saptavartita

• • • Piperine has Anti-inflammatory, Hepatoprotective, Antiulcerogenic activities
    • Gingerols have Gastroprotective, Antiulcerogenic action, Anti-inflammatory action.
    • Solanosine, Carpesterol, Coumarins increases the Ph of Gastric contents, exhibits significant antiulcer property, lowers the total acidity and results in decrease of ulcer index
    • Solanosine, Triterpinoids ,Solanocarpidin significantly reduces the Lipid peroxidation in the liver tissue, attenuates the Hepatocellular necrosis, reduces inflammatory cells infiltration in Hepatocytes
    • Himachalol, Gingerols have Spasmolytic actions relaxes Visceral smooth muscle by acting on serotonin receptors and relieves Abdominal colic
    • Immunomodulator action by inducing Type 1 and decrease Type 2 Immune responses thereby enhancing Immunological status to reduce frequent Upper Respiratory Infections.
    • Phenolic ketones (6-gingerol), Plumbagin, Coumarins, enhances type 1 cytokines, IFN-γ and IL-2, CD3+, CD4+ T Lymphocytes, NK Cells, which helps fight the Recurrent infections
