Vasantakusumakara Ras

Vasantakusumakara Ras is an Ayurvedic Herbo-mineral medicine basically used in hyper-glycemia, to effectively normalize or stabilize blood glucose levels. Beneficial as an aphrodisiac and Rejuvenator.

Indications : Meha, Valipalita, Sukradosha, Rasayana.

Anupana: Triphala qwatha, Sukhoshna jala and Honey

Dose: 125mg tablet,1-2 tablets per day or as advised by Vaidya.

Composition: Swarna-10mg

(Bhavana with Swarasa of following Herbs) Ikshu Saccharum officinarum (St) Q.S. Vasa Adathoda vasica (Lf)

Actions of Vasantakusumakara Ras:  Along with Hypoglycaemic action, Vasanta Kusumakara ras effectively controls life-threatening and debilitating complications like Neuropathy, Diabetic retinopathy, Dyslipidemia, etc.

• • • VasantaKusumara Ras ingredients have antioxidant action, provide trace elements, and micro-nutrients, and have immune-modulatory activities hence beneficial in protecting Nerves, Eyes, and other major organs from Hyperglycaemia induced Oxidative stress.
    • Vasant Kusumakar Ras significantly decreases levels of cholesterol and triglycerides along with a significant increase in HDL-C levels thus, prevents diabetes-induced metabolic dysfunction.
    • Vasant Kusumakar Ras arrests and reverses oxidative stress-induced destruction of pancreatic beta-islet cells thus restores normal insulin secretion and enhances glucose transport to peripheral tissues.
    • Swarna Bhasma in Vasanta Kusumakara Ras pacifies the aggravated Vata, nourishes the Ksheena Vata, and maintains Samavastha of Prakruta Vata, to normalize the Neuropathic symptoms.

    • Loha Bhasma in VasantaKusumara Ras treats Diabetes and Medoroga by restoring the serum lipid profile in the blood.
    • Bhavana Dravyas of Vasanta Kusumara Ras, Adathoda vasica, and Curcuma longa reduce the Aldose reductase activity and reduce the risk of Diabetic retinopathy and Cataract.
