Varunadi Ghritam is a ghee form Ayurvedic medicine, primarily used for the treatment of Obesity, Kidney diseases, Headaches, tumors, Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and others.

As per Ayurvedic references, Varunadi ghrita saptavarti is beneficial in treating Vriddhi, Gulma, Sthoulya, Vrikka roga, Sirahsoola, and Vata roga.

Actions of Varunadi Ghrita Saptavarti:

• • • Lupeol and its analogue, Betulinic acid reduces tubular damage and markers of crystal deposition in the Kidney.
    • Quercitin has anti-hypertensive, anti-inflammatory action and thus relieves vascular headaches & the anti-obesity and cytotoxic effects help manage obesity and tumors.
    • Betasitosterol has Anti rheumatic and Immunomodulatory actions -helpful against Rheumatoid arthritis.
    • Betulinic acid and Friedelin exert Anti-inflammatory action helpful in Arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.
    • Fridelin acts on Adipocytes and helps in obesity management.
    • Alliin significantly decreases the size of adipocytes from epididymal adipose tissue and enhances glucose tolerance.
    • Niazimicin, Allicin, and Ferulic acid have anti-tumor properties, decrease the levels of anti-apoptotic proteins, (such as Bcl-2, Bcl-xL), and survivin exerts Anti Proliferative effects and helps in the management of Tumors, Cysts.
    • Ferulic acid improves acetylcholine-induced endothelium-dependent vasodilation and enhances the bio-availability of Endothelial nitric oxide which has a vasodilator action effect in relieving Vascular head-aches.
    • Extract in Varunadi ghrita exerts anti-obesity effect by suppressing lipogenesis through the reduction in lipogenic enzyme (FAS) expression and increases fatty acid oxidation.
    • Chebulinic acid exerts potent anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic effects.The antitumor mechanism of chebulinic acid is probably related to the PI3K/AKT and MAPK/ERK pathway
