Medhohara Vati is an Ayurvedic medicine for obesity, that improves metabolism, and corrects hyperlipidemia.

Components of Medohara Vati have Properties of Deepana, Pachana, and Srotovishodhana. So, by all these properties Medohara Vati also helps in the scrapping of excess Meda and Kapha.

Dosage: 1 tablet twice or thrice a day or as directed by the physician.

Action:

• • • Amla in Medhohara Vati inhibits Lipid synthesis and enhances Lipid degradation helping in the management of Hyperlipidemia.
    • Haritaki reduces Lipogenesis through the reduction of Lipogenic enzyme expression.
    • Vidanga and Bibhitaki in Medhohara Vati have anti-lipase and anti-hyperlipidaemic activity and modulate lipid metabolism.
    • Guggulu in Medhohara Vati decreases serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels and bile acid homeostasis in the body system, it also removes excess cholesterol through enterohepatic circulation which is the major pathway to remove excess cholesterol.
    • Chitraka contains Plumbagin that binds to human Pancreatic lipase & significantly decreases Serum Triglycerides & also possesses Antiadipogenic effect that helps in Obesity management.
    • Vidanga enhances Insulin sensitivity, improves glucose metabolism, and reduces triglycerides, thus helps manage Obesity.
