Katuki  Scientific name : Picrorhiza kurroa

Biopolymeric fraction extracted from rhizome of Picrorhiza kurroa stimulated in Immune response in Vivo Studies. At the dose of 50 mg/kg, significant increases in the proliferation of lymphocytes (p<0.001) and cytokine levels (IL-4 and IFN-gamma) in serum (p<0.001) were observed. A dose dependent increase was demonstrated in Human Antibody titre (p<0.05), DTH (p<0.01), PFC (p<0.05), phagocytic index (p<0.05) and CD4/CD8 (p<0.01) population. This suggests that  Picrorhiza extracts  strengthens  Immune system and might be regarded as a biological response modifier.

Guduchi    Scientific name : Tinospora cordifolia

Alcoholic extract significantly increased Serum Immunoglobulin levels ,  Total leucocyte count, Absolute lymphocyte count (ALC) .

Activates macrophages which play a crucial role in Innate and Adaptive Immunity .

Aqueous extract  boosts the Phagocytic activity of Macrophages,  production of Cytokines, up-regulation of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and enhanced Antigen specific recall response .

Kaalamegha Scientific name :Andrographis paniculata

Andrographis paniculata extract stimulated Lymphocyte cell proliferation about 38% compared to the control lymphocyte cell without any treatment.

Andrographolide   has Immunoregulatory activities playing a role as a modulator of altered immune responses. In tumor-bearing mice it enhanced natural killer cell activity, increased secretion of IL-2 and IFN-γ by T cells and thereby  inhibited  the  tumor  growth.

Recommended dose for Prophylactic use:

Body Weight of more than 40 kgs :1 tablet   twice a day after food

For Pediatric use ( 8 yrs to 16 yrs) or for those Less than 40 kgs body weight :  1 tablet once a day after food

Dose: One tablet twice a day  with warm water or as advised by Vaidya
