Vriddhivadhika Vati

Vriddhivadhika Vati is mainly indicated in Antra vriddhi, (Intestinal Hernia, Scrotal swelling), and Arbuda (Benign tumors, cysts, uterine fibroids).

Vata vitiation causes the shrinking of the intestine and its displacement due to loss of muscle tonicity is a major cause of hernia. So, ingredients should have Vatahara action.

Kapha and Vata Kapha vitiation causes benign Tumors are an abnormal collection of cells that are non-cancerous, mostly in fibrous tissues and fat tissues.

To relieve the Tumors or Cysts, the ingredients should have mainly Lekhana, bhedana, Vata Kapha Hara, and Medohara actions.

Dosage: 1 tablet twice or thrice a day or as directed by the physician.

    • Vanga bhasma has Vata Kapha Hara, Lekhana, and also medho hara action
    • Kantaloha bhasma, Kansya have Lekhana action
    • With actions these ingredients Vriddhi vadhika Vati effectively relieves Vriddhi, Arbuda, and Medho roga also.
    • Shankha bhasma and Kapardika bhasma provide Calcium ions that enhance Vascular smooth muscle tone by increasing cytoplasmic calcium ion (Ca++) levels thereby strengthening the muscles and treating Hernia.
    • Amalaki and Sunthi have Cytotoxic, and Antitumor action, which may reduce the size of Cysts, and Tumors of different tissues.
