Mahavata Vidwamsini Ras

MahaVata Vidhvamsini Ras is an Ayurvedic classical preparation that balances Vata dosha. This herbo- mineral formulation is useful in treating Vata rogas, Abdominal colic pains, Neuralgia, Paralysis, Neuro Muscular pains.

Dosage: 1 tablet twice or thrice a day or as directed by the physician.

Indication: All Vatavyadhis, Vataja Sula, Grahani, Kapharoga

Anupana: Madhu (Honey), Warm water.

Action:

• • • Shunti in Maha Vata Vidhwamsini Ras suppresses prostaglandin production through inhibition of cyclo-oxygenase-1 and 2, preventing inflammation, managing acute muscular pain & prevents both joint inflammation and destruction in arthritic conditions.
    • In Maha Vata Vidhvamsini Ras, Pippali acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, reduces neurotransmitter reuptake, augments neurotransmitter synthesis, and thus relieves pain.
    • Anti-inflammatory activity of Vatsanabha in Maha Vata Vidhvamsini Ras has a beneficial effect in reducing swelling and pain.
    • Nirgundi in Maha Vata Vidhwamsini Ras exhibits anti-inflammatory, and analgesic action by inhibiting prostaglandin and is thus helpful in treating painful inflammatory conditions.
    • Yogavahaka property of Kajjali in Maha Vata Vidhwamsini Ras enhances the target action of the drug.

    • Jyotishmati taila in Maha Vata Vidhwamsini Ras scavenges the free radicles, reduces lipid peroxidation, and increases enzyme catalase activity thus possessing neuroprotective action.
